Imagine your day starts with nature, wind caressing your face, aroma of neem splashing your nostrils, the earthy smell of freshly tilled soil sending you into a world of your own, filled with tress. Sounds amazing right? That’s what your kids felt while exploring the corners of Horticulture Nursery Janakpur, a gardening expedition planned by Education Mentors Academy School, Panna with a vision of transitioning them from passive learners to visionary seekers.
Ranging from basics of plantation to branches, economic dimension and purpose of horticulture , students did it all. With hands-on sessions, students practiced stem cutting, grafting, and even air layering, simple yet powerful methods to grow new plants. They planted Duranta, Crotons, Bougainvillea, and many more colourful varieties, while learning how to prepare organic manure using cow dung and compost.
Students also got a taste of nursery management—designing plant beds, managing watering schedules (Hazara technique), and understanding the importance of healthy soil using natural remedies like Trichoderma for disease control. As Mahatma Gandhi said:
“To forget how to dig the earth and to tend the soil is to forget ourselves.”

Our kids spent the day together in the lap of mother nature working towards assimilation of these values into their heart sand souls.
